About Binary Converter

Binary Converter is a free tool for translating between text, binary, decimal, hexadecimal and octal.

Two clear modes

When Text is selected, the tool encodes or decodes UTF-8 bytes. When both formats are numbers, it converts one non-negative whole integer and preserves its exact value, including large numbers.

Built to run locally

The conversion happens in your browser. There is no upload step and you do not need an account. See our privacy information for more details.

Current limits

Inputs can contain up to 65,536 UTF-16 units, and whole numbers can contain up to 4,096 digits. Negative numbers, fractions, scientific notation and file conversion are not supported in this version. Invalid input is reported instead of being partially converted.
